1. Sleep with your book beneath your pillow. Of course there is no scientific reason for this yet many still give this a try. I guess the feeling of having something rich in information near our head does pull some strings but really, it’s not like the words from the book are going to crawl into your brain. So, this is generally pointless.
2. Eating peanuts while studying. There is some truth to this since peanuts have been considered as one of the foods that improves brain activity. But eating peanuts alone does not guarantee you memory improvement. If you want to sharpen your memory, review ahead of time and study your notes many times. Don’t depend on just eating peanuts while studying to do the dirty work. In fact, it is a lot more distracting mainly because instead of concentrating on what you are reading, your mouth distracts you.
3.Supplements overload. There are a lot of memory enhancing health supplements readily available currently. Most of it claims to be all-natural and proven safe and effective. For longer periods, this is not suggested because anything you take into your body system has some sort of effect at some point. The accumulation of chemical compounds or “natural” ingredients inside your system might have some detrimental effects in the long run. Believe me, it is not what you needed. You would not want to achieve your target in the end only to find out that you are dying anyway.
To improve your memory, it takes more than just taking tablets or eating peanuts. Remember, even if you have a healthy brain because of the health supplements, it does not follow you have a sharper memory. It is like saying if you are tall, it does not follow you’re great at playing basketball. You need to practice and play a lot before you can master it. Our brains need constant exercise to sharpen our memory ability. Certainly, memorizing well is a ability and the only way to get it is to constantly practice. There is another way that can supplement our mental exercises and it is not asking you to drink anything.
Brainwave entrainment has been enormously effective in memory improvement. It removes blockages in our brain flows to enable ideas and information to move smoothly. All you need is a pair of headset, a great entrainment plan and some minutes to spare. Imagine listening to your favorite music and immediately after that, you all of a sudden really feel energized and you are in a position to think clearly. That’s what entrainment is all about. By listening to the beats with unique frequencies, you are able to tap into the distinct ranges of our brains most especially, you are able to clear your mind. You are in a position to store information and recall much easier.
